We live in a world today that loves instant gratification. We love our fast food places, we love our quick shops, we love our same day shipping, we love seeing results right now. With that being said, it isn’t surprising that this is quite a big question that occurs frequently when it comes to the Law Of Attraction..
Just how long does it take to manifest something? Just how long does it take for the Law Of Attraction to start working in your life?
The interesting thing is you have all the control over how fast the Law Of Attraction works. All of it comes down to self imposed thoughts and actions. You can manifest something instantly or it can take you years to manifest the same thing.

How Attached Are You To The Outcome?
The speed of your manifestation relies a great deal on how attached you are to the outcome. Remember in the steps of the Law Of Attraction, in order to receive anything you need to completely detach from the outcome. You need to not care if you get the thing you want or not.
This is so hard for people to grasp because if you didn’t want it, you wouldn’t take the time to try and manifest it right? Well, it may seem that way at first. But that’s a limited perspective you are looking at it in. You see, when you are holding on so tightly to an outcome, you aren’t open to receiving anything new into your life.
When you want something so badly, you are giving out the emotional vibration of being desperate. Remember, the Law Of Attraction is constantly responding to your vibrational frequency. Whatever emotion you are putting out, it is getting attracted right back to you so you are receiving more of that in your reality.
If you are feel desperate and are feeling lack because you don’t have the thing that you want, the Law Of Attraction is giving you just that… more of NOT having the thing that you want! More lack and more desperation! So what if you were to drop that attachment to the outcome?
What if you were so confident in the Law Of Attraction and the powers of the Universe that you knew the thing you wanted would come into your experience? What if you were so sure that it was coming you started feeling the power of it right now in your experience?

Take a long hard look at yourself and observe your inner emotions right now. Are you detached from the outcome? Are you fully trusting the Universe to deliver what you want? Chances are, since you are reading this article you might still have a little resistance around the subject of receiving your desires.

Are You Feeling Joy Most Of The Time?
Here is another factor that goes into figuring out exactly how long it takes the Law Of Attraction to work. What types of emotions are feeling right now? Are you complaining a lot? Are you frustrated? Stressed? Worried? All of these emotions are very low on your vibrational spiral.
Vibrating at these frequencies will only attract more situations that cause you to feel these same emotions. These vibrations are not a match at all to the thing that you want, unless you want to manifest more worry and stress, which I highly doubt.
All the things that you want in this lifetime are vibrating on a much higher scale. In order to match up to that vibration you have to think about how you are going to feel when you have the thing that you want and start feeling that way right now!
That may seem a little difficult so there is an easier way to do this. Feel happy! Feel happy all the time! Feeling happy and joyful as much as you possibly can is the perfect way to vibrate.
Think about it… how are you going to feel when the thing that you want manifests into your life? Happy! Probably very happy! So you can feel happy right now by turning your attention to things that please you. Start focusing on the things that make you happy and don’t allow your attention to go elsewhere.
Make a list of all the things in your life that you are grateful for and will make you feel joy when you think about them. Pull out the list anytime throughout the day you may start feeling your vibration dropping so you can raise it back up to a higher level.
The more you continue to feel joy in each and every moment that you can then the thing that you want must begin to manifest for you.
Another way to think about this is to realize that you always have a choice over how you feel.
It doesn’t matter what happens in your life, you are free to choose to see it as good or bad. You are free to choose to feel positive about it or negative about it. Most of us are so use to placing judgments on things as good or bad and most of the time we do that not even having all of the evidence or the answers or even knowing exactly where it is going to lead to.
My advice to you would be to start seeing things from a much higher perspective. Start seeing that everything in life happens for you. Start feeling happy and positive all the time no matter what happens because you have a choice over how you feel.
The great thing about feeling good is, well, it feels good to feel good, am I right? Not only does it feel good when you feel good but it also starts attracting more things that make you feel good into your life.
Of course, the things you want to manifest will make you feel good so those are included on the list of things that are going to start appearing in your experience. So what are you waiting for? Are You Releasing Your Resistance?
To be honest, this whole question on how long it takes for the Law Of Attraction to work can be summed up by one answer… how much resistance are you feeling? One of the quotes that I love about the timing of manifestation comes from Abraham Hicks:
“When people ask us how long does it take for something to manifest, we say, “It takes as long as it takes you to release the RESISTANCE. Could be 30 years, could be 40 years, could be 50 years, could be a week. Could be tomorrow afternoon.” – Abraham-Hicks
This is such a powerful statement and really sums up what this whole article is all about. It has to do with your resistance levels. Resistance comes in many forms like attachment to outcomes and negative emotions. It also stems out of anxiety and stress.
The good thing is, there are many things you can do in order to calm your resistance levels which will allow the things that you want to start manifesting before your eyes. One thing I like to do to help ease resistance is meditation.
Meditation calms our anxiety, stress, and allows us to experience life in bliss. When you are easier about life and in a blissful state you aren’t prone to feeling any resistance whatsoever. I meditate every single day for at least 10 minutes but I far prefer to do it for at least 20 minutes when I have more time.
If meditation isn’t something that you do on a regular basis that might be one of the reasons why it’s taking the Law Of Attraction a little bit longer to work for you.
Below is a great step by step method of meditating that I’ve shared from Chopra.com:
Find a comfortable place to sit. It’s best to find a quiet location where you won’t be disturbed. There is no need to sit cross-legged on the floor unless that is comfortable for you. You can sit on a chair or sofa or on the floor with your back against a wall. You may support yourself with cushions, pillows, or blankets.
The goal is to sit as upright as possible while still remaining comfortable. We all have different anatomies and you want your meditation experience to be enjoyable, so make your comfort a priority. Lying on your back is usually not recommended because most people fall asleep in this position, but you can try it if sitting is uncomfortable for you. The most important rule is that meditation can be practiced anywhere, as long as you’re comfortable.
Gently close your eyes and begin by taking some deep breaths. Try taking a few “cleansing breaths” by inhaling slowly through your nose and then exhaling out your mouth. After a few cleansing breaths, continue breathing at a normal relaxed pace through your nose with your lips gently closed.
Do not try and stop your thoughts or empty your mind. It is human nature and normal for the mind to wander. Do not try and stop your thoughts or “empty your mind.” Whenever you become aware that your attention has drifted away from your breathing to thoughts or any other distractions while meditating, simply return to silently focusing on your breath.
You can also find ways to release resistance simply be living life with ease. We live under this illusion that life is so important and we must treat everything seriously. Again, this is all an illusion. The only reason you think life is so serious is because you are creating that reality through your thoughts.
Be easy about things in your life. Go for walks, read books, go to the beach, eat a delicious meal, do something for yourself for a change just for the sake of doing it for yourself! Be nice to yourself in each moment of every day and you’ll start feeling those resistance levels drop.
Soon this feeling of low resistance will be your normal feeling each and every day and you’ll feel incredible freedom and love flow through every cell in your body. When you get to this state, now try to manifest something… it’s going to unfold faster than you can imagine!
Are You Reciting Affirmations Daily?
Any Law Of Attraction teacher or practicer that you talk to usually have the same feelings on affirmations as I do… they love them! For those of you who may not be familiar with affirmations, that might be one of the reasons its taking a while for your manifestation to take place.
Affirmations are positive statements that you say to yourself either verbally or nonverbally that help you keep a positive, successful mindset and overcome any negative thoughts about yourself or your situation.
When you continually repeat your affirmations, you start to believe them and you’ll see these positive changes take place in your life. It’s important that you remind yourself why you are here in this physical reality and that you are in complete control of your life.
When you continually affirm this each and every day it becomes natural to you and you begin to truly believe it without any resistance attached to it at all.

I would recommend going through the list and choosing 5 of your favorites, write them down and recite them at least 3 times a day. Morning, Noon and Night! If you can do it more, then do it more. Are You Looking For Signs?
Understandably so, when you feel like the Law Of Attraction isn’t working fast enough for you, things can get discouraging. However, the Universe isn’t just going to leave you hanging like that. It’s going to show you proof of your desires unfolding.
Everyday the Universe is showing you signs and proof but you might be so wrapped up in your worries that you aren’t seeing them. You really need to give up control, hop in the passenger seat, and watch where the Universe takes you.
When I first started learning about the Law Of Attraction, I wanted to manifest a brand new car. It was a Black Audi A5 to be exact. I went through all the steps of the Law Of Attraction and did so every single day. I saved pictures of it in my phone and would look at it occasionally and feel the feelings of having it.

But the idea is there and cannot be denied that it works. It doesn’t matter how big or small the thing you want is, look for signs from the Universe. The signs will keep you motivated and keep you vibrating high knowing full well that the thing you want can come to you in any single moment.
If you aren’t seeing any signs at all, you might be off track as far as your vibration goes so you should reevaluate your emotions.
Do You Know The Secret Of Manifestation?

Then you can start moving on to the bigger things. The bigger things will be a little more difficult at first but that’s why it’s important that you once again grasp this understanding of detachment. Get to the point in your life where you don’t need anything to make you happy.
Get to the point where you can create your own happiness now by deliberately choosing the thoughts you think. Nothing needs to happen in your life. The only thing that needs to happen is you feel joy each and every day.
If you made joy your priority and then didn’t care about anything else… your manifestation would come to life in a heartbeat.
