Stress Is All Self Imposed

In order to relieve stress in your life you need to understand what stress really is and where it comes from.  Stress comes from your worries and doubts about your life and situation. It all stems from fear, more specifically irrational fear. 

In life there is really only 2 types of emotions. There is love and there is fear. When you are feeling happy, joy, excitement, fun, exhilaration, these are all based in the emotion of love. 

If you are in a situation where death could be near, like trapped in a room with a lion or standing on the edge of a cliff, you are going to feel fear. Technically that is the only time in your life you should ever feel fear. 

However, in the society that we live in, most of the time we aren’t standing on the edge of a cliff or stuck in the room with a lion. So our fear translates into things like stress, doubt, worry, boredom, sadness, etc. The problem with this is, you can’t actually die from feeling any of those emotions.  Therefore, they are all irrational fears.

They aren’t real and are simply illusions that we’ve created in our head. Can you die of someone not liking you? Can you die of embarrassment? Can you die of making a mistake in the office? If the answer is no to those questions then you know that you are feeling is an irrational fear. All stress is irrational. 

It is a complete self imposed thought process. With stress, you are using your imagination to look at your life in a way that is causing fear. You are worried about outcomes, attached to how you think things need to be and if you don’t think your life is headed in a certain direction you begin to worry. 

Use Your Imagination For Your Benefit

So since your imagination is all fabricated anyway… why not use your imagination to look at things in a way that will benefit you! Instead of stressing out about the meeting at work because you think you could make a mistake, imagine the meeting going absolutely 100% perfect. 

Imagine that you come out of the meeting feeling completely exhilarated because you did such an incredible job. Everytime your mind starts to slip in that vibrational state of worry, boost it back up quickly by using the power of your imagination. You can choose to experience your life with limitations or you can choose to be limitless.

Remember, every single thing that you’ve ever experienced in your entire life that you’ve worried about, you’ve came out of.  You are still alive right? So that means you didn’t actually need to experience that thing in worry and stress.

No matter what it was, you could have chosen to experience it in absolute joy, absolute freedom, absolute excitement. You could have chosen to do all that using the power of your imagination. Every moment in life where you’ve stressed out is because you’ve chosen to do so.

So next time you find yourself in a situation causing some fear, stress, or worry, just remember in the moment that you have a choice over how you feel. 

The things you are stressing over haven’t even happened yet but you are using your imagination in a way that doesn’t serve you. Change up your imagination and use it in your favor. Use it in a way to reveal your power. The more you practice this, the quicker all the stress in your life will begin to vanish.

Positive Thinking

You have probably heard about “positive thinking” in every Law Of Attraction info piece you’ve read or watched… but are you actually deliberately practicing it? Odds are if you are suffering from a lot of stress you aren’t! Remember what we think about causes us to vibrate at certain frequencies. 

If you are always worried and stressed and in fear, you are vibrating at a very low frequency and it’s that energy that attracts more energy like that. So basically by being stressed all the time, you are attracting more stress into your life. But of course there is the opposite effect as well.

What if all the time you focused your thoughts on joy, excitement, love, freedom, relaxation and fun?  Well then you’d be attracting more of that into your life. That’s why it is so important that above all else you FEEL GOOD! That only way to truly feel good is to think positive thoughts as much as humanly possible. Make a list of all the wonderful things in your life and focus only on those things.

Turn your attention away to anything that does not satsify you and only look at the things that make you happy.  Anytime you feel yourself dipping into a low vibrational state, pull out the list and read it.

Maybe your list consists of family members, pets, vacation destinations, physical parts of your body, taking deep breaths. Anything can go on your list, as long as thinking about it makes you feel great.

Making a list and continually looking at it to give you a boost of positivity throughout your day is one of the most powerful Law Of Attraction exercise you can do. 

Another powerful exercise is to do things that make you feel good! Doing things that make you feel good will make it easier for you to think positive thoughts!

Detach (Nothing Needs To Happen)

Here is an important step in using the Law Of Attraction to get rid of stress in your life is to detach from all outcomes of your life.  You see, all of these “outcomes” that you have created or things you think that need to happen are all illusions that slip you into a low vibrational state because you think you aren’t able to feel good unless you see a certain outcome.

You came here into this physical experience not to feel worried or stressed all the time, but to expand through joyous experiences! You never intended to come here and feel stressed out due to self imposed reasons!

So if you look at life in the way of a complete freedom seeking being, you can see that there is no reason to create outcomes or make yourself believe that a certain happening must take place for you to feel good.

The priority in your life should be to feel joy and have fun. As long as you are vibrating high on your spiral, it doesn’t matter what happens to you because you are fulfilling what you intended to come here for and the Law Of Attraction will handle the rest.

The moment when you have truly released your attachment to all matters in your life is when your stress will disappear because there would be no reason to ever worry, or feel fear about anything.  Nothing really matters and nothing needs to happen. Understand that and your whole life will change in amazing ways.

Stop Taking Life So Seriously

This is a big one here.  When you begin taking life too seriously, you begin altering your point of attraction to a very low vibrational state and thus start feeling stress. Life is whatever you want it to be.  Remember, no matter what perspective you take on your life, the Universe is going to take care of you.

That means, you can choose to have life be completely spontaneous and fun and silly every single day.  Many people believe that life needs to be taken seriously and if you don’t then you simply won’t get ahead in life. The opposite is true, you see.

When you are having fun without a care in the world, you are living a stress free life.  When you have no resistance in your vibration you are constantly manifesting every single thing you want fast and easy.

Hopefully this analogy allows you to see this a little clearer.  When in doubt about how you should act and behavior… just ask yourself what a child would do! Children are the perfect example of beings that don’t take life seriously at all, they just want to play and have fun. 

They don’t have a care in the world about what other people think of them and they have never seem to get tired!

Another great example that Esther Hicks claimed to have done in order to add a bit more fun into her life was she literally focused on the word “FUN” all day long. 

She kept repeating that word to herself over and over again and by doing this the Universe began showing her all these new fun things in her life. Even stuff that didn’t use to be fun for her now suddenly felt exciting to do.

By changing your approach to life and stop looking at things so seriously all the time, you’ll open up the floodgates for amazing things to begin transpiring in your life. 

Your stress will disappear, you’ll start looking forward to each and every day and you’ll feel as though life is simply delicious!

You Are Choosing A Negative And Limiting Perspective

Many of us don’t even realize this but we get to choose our perspectives on everything that happens in life.  That should be feel extremely freeing if that is the first time you’ve ever heard that. Most people live life like a victim and they allow things and events to determine their moods and emotions. 

If they get fired from their job they get angry, upset and depressed. Well, what if when you get fired from your job you felt joy? What if you felt excitement? What if you felt an eagerness to see what is going to happen next? It’s all about the perspective you take on a subject.

Some people look at life and their current situation in a very negative light. They aren’t happy or satisfied with what’s going on so they turn to things like the Law Of Attraction in an attempt to become happy and fix their life. The problem with this is their life is already perfect.

They are just choosing to look at it for a negative and limited perspective. You see, we came into this life to explore physical reality. We came for the joy and pleasure of expanding and living life in a way that’s yet to be lived.

Every day we get the chance to live from a different perspective, every day we get to choose who we are going to be.  If you are choosing to live life as a victim and choosing to see the negative in everything instead of the positive, you are vibrating at a very low frequency and thus not attracting the things that you desire.

Change your perspective on all things in your life and see them in a positive light, this is going to keep you vibrating at an extremely high frequency and you’ll start seeing the Law Of Attraction work more and more in your life.

It’s also very common for us to fear failure.  Many times our perspectives become limited because we are afraid of making a big misktake and falling flat our our faces.

You need to push passed these limiting beliefs and realize that you cannot fail. Failure is not real and only an illusion you’ve made up in your mind.

Failure does not exist in the Universe because no matter what happens it opens the door to something new. So keep pushing through your fear, realize you are a limitless being and you simply cannot fail.

When you take this approach to life you begin to realize that the Universe is always acting in your favor and there is never a need to feel stress about anything. Even when something comes up in your life that you think is bad or wrong, you are simply choosing the wrong perspective.

Alter your perspective and see all things in a positive light and know that it is for your benefit and growth and will ultimately lead you to the thing you want most.

Practice Meditation

The benefits and practicing of meditation can be traced back for thousands of years.  Pretty much every single popular religion on the planet promotes some type of meditation process.  Meditation is powerful because it allows us to slow down our thoughts and observe them instead of judge them. 

When we are no longer judgmental towards our thoughts we can simply watch them come or go without any attachment to them.  Without any emotional attachments means stress cannot be created.

Meditation calms our anxiety, stress, and allows us to experience life in bliss. Below is a great step by step method of meditating that I’ve shared from Chopra.com:

Find a comfortable place to sit. It’s best to find a quiet location where you won’t be disturbed. There is no need to sit cross-legged on the floor unless that is comfortable for you. You can sit on a chair or sofa or on the floor with your back against a wall. You may support yourself with cushions, pillows, or blankets. The goal is to sit as upright as possible while still remaining comfortable. 

We all have different anatomies and you want your meditation experience to be enjoyable, so make your comfort a priority. Lying on your back is usually not recommended because most people fall asleep in this position, but you can try it if sitting is uncomfortable for you. The most important rule is that meditation can be practiced anywhere, as long as you’re comfortable.

Gently close your eyes and begin by taking some deep breaths. Try taking a few “cleansing breaths” by inhaling slowly through your nose and then exhaling out your mouth. After a few cleansing breaths, continue breathing at a normal relaxed pace through your nose with your lips gently closed.

Do not try and stop your thoughts or empty your mind.  It is human nature and normal for the mind to wander. Do not try and stop your thoughts or “empty your mind.” Whenever you become aware that your attention has drifted away from your breathing to thoughts or any other distractions while meditating, simply return to silently focusing on your breath.

If you are someone who stressed out often, I would recommend incorporating at least 15 minutes of meditation a day.  As soon as you begin practicing, you’ll start feeling the benefits after the first session.

You’ll start to see when events and situations take place in your life you are less judgemental toward them and they have less of an effect on your emotions. 

This gives you more mental clarity and power to start deliberately creating the thoughts and life experiences that you desire.

Use Positive Affirmations

One of my favorite Law Of Attraction practices are reciting affirmations.  Affirmations are positive statements that you say to yourself either verbally or nonverbally that help you keep a positive, successful mindset and overcome any negative thoughts about yourself or your situation. 

They are fantastic in overcoming stress and worry in your every day life.

When you continually repeat your affirmations, you start to believe them and you’ll see these positive changes take place in your life. It’s important that you remind yourself why you are here in this physical reality and that you are in complete control of your life. 

Below are some amazing affirmations that promote a stress free lifestyle. These affirmations were shared from HealYourLife.com:

I am relaxed and calm.

My tension is melting away.

I am letting go of all my worries and fears.

I would recommend going through the list and choosing 5 of your favorites, write them down and recite them at least 3 times a day.

If you can do it more, then do it more. The more you recite them the quicker you will begin to believe them and the faster the Law Of Attraction will start working in your life to overcome all the stress imaginable.

Become An Allower

One thing that Joshua from The Teachings of Joshua likes to say is that “Everything in life is happening FOR you, and not TO you.”

What makes this statement so special is it’s a reminder to us that we never have to worry or feel fear about what is going to happen next in our lives because everything that is going to happen is for our highest good and benefit. 

We can now shift our focus to being an allower. When you are an allower you simply allow things to come in and out of your life without any judgments or attachments. We know that whatever happens is happening because it is for our benefit and will ultimately lead us to our highest good.

We are always so quick to judge an outcome as good, bad, right or wrong, yet we judge it without even having all of the answers.  We can’t possibly know what the final outcome is going to be because we can’t see the future and don’t know all the details.

Most of the time, everything that happens to us that we perceive as bad actually doesn’t turn out to be so bad in the end and we either learned from it or caused us to grow and expand. So stop worrying about what is going to happen next because the Universe has your back!

Everything is happening for your benefit and will ultimately lead you to all of your desires.  If you perceive something as bad that has come into your life, it is simply your attachment and perspective and that can be changed.

Alter that perspective until you can feel relief and that’s when you can push through any circumstance. When you stop fighting against everything and just allow it all to unfold perfectly, your stress will become a thing of the past.

So as you can see, your stress is not due to any outside circumstance, only your internal thoughts.  When you deliberately take the time and practice to focus your thoughts on a way that serves you instead of works against you, you can start living a stress free life. 

It all starts and ends with you! Once you get a little more momentum going, the Law Of Attraction is going to takeover from there and you’ll begin to attract more stress-free thoughts and experiences into your life.
